Nike is giving the Air Max Plus a venomous makeover with the introduction of the upcoming Air Max Plus "Scorpion." While Scorpio season may still be months away, the Swoosh isn't waiting around, adding another chapter to its growing collection of scorpion-inspired Air Max releases.
The new colourway joins a wider themed pack that already includes the Air Max Plus VII, Air Max 90, and Air Max 95. Each model shares a common design language centred around striking biofluorescent blue accents and metallic silver detailing, creating a cohesive collection inspired by one of nature's most recognisable predators.
For the Air Max Plus, Nike has opted for a darker and more aggressive aesthetic than its counterparts. The upper is dressed in a shimmering jet-black finish, giving the iconic TN silhouette a stealthy appearance. Bright electric blue accents appear throughout the sneaker, lighting up the Swooshes, Air units, and sections of the outsole to create a sharp contrast against the dark base.
The signature detail of the collection remains firmly intact, with a custom hexagonal scorpion badge featured on the tongue. This unique branding element instantly ties the sneaker to the wider pack and gives the release a collectible feel for Air Max enthusiasts.
While Nike has yet to announce an official launch date, the Air Max Plus "Scorpion" is expected to arrive alongside the other models in the collection sometime in the coming weeks. With official images now surfacing, a release appears to be just around the corner.
