Sydney’s Darlinghurst neighbourhood is the epicentre of streetwear this weekend as Nike and @supplystore present SURPLUS 2025 — a three-day celebration packed with top-tier streetwear labels, artists, live performances, and creative showcases.
And of course, no Nike event in Australia would be complete without paying homage to the Air Max Plus. Originally designed by Sean McDowell, the TN has reached cult status down under, inspiring entire boutiques dedicated solely to the silhouette.
For this year’s SURPLUS event, Nike joins forces with New York’s Homerun for a unique experience. Participants who complete a 6.66 km run from SUPPLY Sydney to Bondi Beach while wearing “Triple Black” TNs will receive a free pair — rumored to be the collaborative version seen here. The sneaker stays true to the timeless all-black design, accented by Homerun’s arch logo in crisp white along the lateral side.
While the design itself is minimal, it’s the exclusive nature of the activation that makes it special. Entry spots are limited, and runners must register via raffle by 10:00 AM on October 17th (Sydney time). Successful entrants must be ready to hit the pavement on Sunday, October 19th, checking in at SUPPLY by 7:30 AM.
