The Nike Air Max Plus “Iron Grey” Features A Reflective Swoosh

There’s no denying the Y2K revival has dimmed the spotlight on Nike’s standout Air Max models from the ’90s. Iconic styles such as the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, and Air Max Plus—once daily go-to—have seen attention shift toward sleeker early-2000s designs from brands like ASICS and New Balance. Still, these classics remain staples in sneaker culture and continue to sell steadily to their loyal fanbase.

Nike is introducing the Air Max Plus in a subdued “Iron Grey” colourway. The shoe features a tonal grey mesh upper with glossy black TPU overlays that emphasize the model’s signature wave-like structure. Reflective piping accentuates the mudguard and heel, while the Swoosh, tongue badge, and shank plate maintain a refined, understated appeal. The midsole and visible Tuned Air units are dressed in deep grey, and pops of colour on the outsole nod to the model’s heritage branding.

This design offers a sleek, refined take on the Air Max Plus aesthetic. Expect its release this autumn via Nike.com and select retailers. Let me know if you’d like any further edits or a tailored variation!
